My Review for How To Pack: Travel Smart for Any Trip by Hitha Palepu

I am not a traveler. I'm a mom, who started a direct sales business and I work from home and care for my children and my husband. I love my direct sales business, and it's ended up opening some doors for me. In February I traveled to Philadelphia for an Empower Me Pink mini training. It was thrilling and stressful and amazing all at once.

 Now I am headed to Las Vegas, NV in just over a week. Las Vegas! I can't believe it. A small-town girl from Maine is going to Las Vegas for a jewelry convention. Just after I purchased my ticket, I found "How To Pack- Travel Smart for Any Trip" By Hitha Palepu on Blogging for Books. It was a sign. I had to have it. Who doesn't want less stress when they travel? The time was now, I picked up the book and devoured it. 

 There is extremely practical advice in this book. Some of the book is not for me. I'm not a business traveler, but a lot of it can be adapted for my particular instance. This lady is clearly much more put together than I am. I have spent this week learning about "power outfits" and how to wear outfits multiple times for maximum productivity with minimal packing. I have no managed to have one pair of dress shoes to go with all of the event that we will be attending. Rock 'N' Roll night, Glitterazzi and The Black and White Gala will all be able to use the same pair of shoes. And I'm strangely alright with that. 

 As the author is describing the various and fairly expensive equipment she uses to pack with, I am able to picture in my head, things that I already have in my house that I can use to do all of these things for a much better price! I have my shoe bag, my bag for my chargers, my toiletries kit, and probably most importantly (since this IS a jewelry convention), my jewelry case. After reading this book, I am much more confident that I will not only have everything I need in my bag for the week that I am gone, but may also have room for the amazing fall line and Zi Collection pieces that will be coming back with me.

 This book has left me feeling confident and more relaxed that I can pack for myself, and my children (who will be at their grandparent's house while I'm gone!) for the entire week. I'm keeping this book for the next time I have to pack to help calm me down and make my trip more enjoyable. The best part of this, she has printables on her website and perforated lists in the back of the book that you can tear out!

The presentation of this game is great. It comes in a small decorated cardboard box that slides out of it's cover with a silky gold-ribbon tab. The cards each have their own section. The game didn't really come with rules, but it seems pretty straightforward. Have you  heard about Influenster? I use Influenster (yes, there's an app for that!) to see what products are good and which products I should buy. You can see which eyeliner comes in at #1 according to the rest of the Influenster population. It's a very handy site. (influenster.com) So, Influenster has some perks as well, if you check in often and participate in their "snaps" you could qualify for one of their campaigns. Influenster sends you products for free and you get to review them. Best perk ever, right?! The particular campaign I'm talking about today is called the #JingleVoxBox. Batgirl At Super Hero High (DC Super Hero Girls) Review

I got this in audio book form and it written by Lisa Yee and read to us by Mae Whitman. For starters, Mae Whitman did a phenomenal job reading this book. She was perfect. The book itself, I had a bit of trouble getting into the story at first, only because my children were definitely too young for it (3 year-old girl and 8 year-old boy) and I was trying to answer a lot of their questions. The story itself was very uplifting and I think would be a wonderful book for younger girls. Learning that being unique isn't bad. I think it addresses a lot of issues that girls are faced with in a positive way.
