Doodletopia Faries by Christopher Hart

Image result for doodletopia fairiesFirst, this is not the type of book I usually go for. I am not artistic in the least bit. I am crafty, but seeing things in my head and getting them to come out on paper or otherwise has always been a challenge for me. Needless to say, I wasn't very hopeful, but it looked like so much fun, how could I resist?

 It's a very nice book. With good instructions, and great illustrations. I was surprised to find that it is not a small book. It's a nice big book so you can see what it is they want you to do. The written instructions were just okay, but if you just copy what the illustrations are telling you to do, even an art wannabe like me can make a pretty cool picture!

 I even bought a special little book to draw my fairies in. I think this is just as fun and relaxing as coloring, but you get to create something. Something of your own! So if you want to create something that's easy and fun, I definitely recommend this book.

The presentation of this game is great. It comes in a small decorated cardboard box that slides out of it's cover with a silky gold-ribbon tab. The cards each have their own section. The game didn't really come with rules, but it seems pretty straightforward. There is a nice black envelope with the words "For Your Eyes Only" that appears you stick one of each of three categories of cards into. The categories are "Where", "What" and "Who". The back of the box indicates that you should leave the envelope for your partner to find. Those are the only real suggestions. The cards are all creative and fun. It's a cute game that I could see all types of couples playing. From new couples trying to get to know each other better, to seasoned couples who need something new and different. Influenster JingleVoxBox Review

Have you  heard about Influenster? I use Influenster (yes, there's an app for that!) to see what products are good and which products I should buy. You can see which eyeliner comes in at #1 according to the rest of the Influenster population. It's a very handy site. (influenster.com) So, Influenster has some perks as well, if you check in often and participate in their "snaps" you could qualify for one of their campaigns. Influenster sends you products for free and you get to review them. Best perk ever, right?! The particular campaign I'm talking about today is called the #JingleVoxBox. Batgirl At Super Hero High (DC Super Hero Girls) Review

I got this in audio book form and it written by Lisa Yee and read to us by Mae Whitman. For starters, Mae Whitman did a phenomenal job reading this book. She was perfect. The book itself, I had a bit of trouble getting into the story at first, only because my children were definitely too young for it (3 year-old girl and 8 year-old boy) and I was trying to answer a lot of their questions. The story itself was very uplifting and I think would be a wonderful book for younger girls. Learning that being unique isn't bad. I think it addresses a lot of issues that girls are faced with in a positive way.
