I read "Think Happy, Instant Peptalks to Boost Positivity" By Karen Salmansohn. I'm on a new spiritual mission in my life to be more positive and try to bring more harmony and positivity into my life, so this seemed like a great choice for me. I have a whole Pinterest board dedicated to being positive and changing the way you think so you can have a happier life. Now onto the book! This book is broken down into different sections, so that you can assess the situation and decide which section you need at that very moment. It has very nice illustrations and detailed explanations of why the author is giving the advice she's giving. My personal opinion is the book was very cutsey, which was not what I was looking for. I'm a practical person, and I like practical advice. The Night Voyage... This book... First this is a coloring book, but not just a coloring book, it's kind of a story also. It is the prettiest, most intricate coloring book I've ever owned. In the back of the book, there is a beautiful card you can color and cut out as well as a visual index. It is a great mixture of coloring book and story book. I love it so much, I didn't even want to color it in, because I didn't want to mess it up. I actually went out and bought some decent colored pencils (Prismacolor!) just for this book. I didn't use any markers or pens, but I'm a little worried because the pages are double sided that if you were to use them, it may bleed through and ruin the picture. The paper quality is amazing and smooth and the coloring comes out like a dream.   I love the way that these pencils feel on the paper.  I'm definitely going to take my time finishing it, and enjoy every bit of this beautiful book. *Possible Spoiler Alert* I read "June: A Novel" written by Miranda Beverly-Whittmore. It took me awhile to read this book, unfortunately life gets in the way of your fun sometimes, but finally I had time to finish it and I am so impressed.  I love this book. It is exactly what your heart needs, that classic romance without all of the trash mixed into it. The more delicate parts were very gently written, which made me feel a lot better, I'm not one who enjoys graphic, raunchy, descriptions of love scenes, and I'd rather leave them out. Even though the book did not go EXACTLY the way I wanted it to, the story itself is just wonderful. I found myself caring deeply for Lindie, even though she wasn't necessarily the main focus of the story. She was a huge part, and I really felt for her. I received this book in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my very own. 

Recently I read Jack and Jill (Alex Cross #3) written by James Patterson. There is no doubt that this book is well written with well loved characters. I, myself, have a hard time connecting with any of them on a personal level. I find I'm more wrapped up in the whodunnits. These are definitely the type of book I enjoy, however, I like to be able to guess who is the bad guy. Sometimes I feel like they're throwing so many characters and details at you at once that you don't have a prayer of sorting them out, which was the case for me in this book. They were fairly blunt about Jill but there were many questions about her that I wanted answered that weren't. Why she felt the way she did, etc. I really felt that we could have benefitted from more of a backstory on Jack and Jill. There was a lot going on in this particular book, but I still enjoyed reading it. I'm definitely going to continue with this series.

I've been using the Maybelline Better Skin powder in the color "Classic Ivory" for almost a week. The first thing I noticed was that it looks WAY darker on the sponge, but don't let that deter you, it'll be okay. The color worked out very well. Coverage! It covers much better than any powder I've ever used. It covers as well as liquid and the finish isn't cakey or weird looking at all. Staying power: I found that it does wear off of my nose after a few hours and does need touching up, but DOES stay well on my cheeks. It works well with all of my powder products on, without wiping the product off. Another downfall: I suddenly am having horrendous breakouts! In places I've never had breakouts. I suppose it COULD be a coincidence, but I'm tempted to think that I'm having trouble with the product itself. I'm going to give my skin a break and try again before I make up my mind completely.  I might try wearing it not every single day, maybe every...

     Recently I read Summer Knight (The Dresden Files #4) By Jim Butcher. I've read the three that came before this one, and so far I've really liked them. You can feel the character's sense of humor coming through and I really appreciate that. The author foreshadows by writing about things that have happened in the character's past, and so far he has done a good job not leaving us guessing what the details were, and closing a lot of them up. As far as building the world goes, I have a lot of trouble with it. Instead of getting less confused as the stories progress, I find myself getting more confused. A lot of the creatures and the rules of their existence and what they can do, are getting very complicated. I still like the books and I'll keep reading them, I really like the chivalrous, cowboy, nerdy type character that struggles to do the right thing, even when there is an easier way out and it causes bodily and sometimes spiritual harm to him.

How I Applied My Kiss True Volume Lashes I curled my lashes. No mascara on. Just my trusty curler to give a little bit of lift. I peeled the lashes out of the package and exercised the band a little bit so they would fit my eye shape, and placed the false lashes on top of my own lashes to see how they fit my eyelashes. Perfectly, as luck would have it, I didn't have to trim them at all. Make sure you've got your liner and shadow that you are going to be wearing is on. Line your top lid or your band will show and look a bit odd. Next carefully put glue on the edge of your band on your lashes. Especially the ends. Let your glue dry for maybe 30 seconds. Don't let it dry all the way, you still want it to be tacky. Carefully place the lash band against your top lash line. Clamp it into place with your tweezers before it dries. Be careful for about 30 more seconds and then close your eye and check to make sure that the band is stuck well to your eyelid and t...
